We’re so excited to get started on another music-filled school year. We have a lot of great music planned, and some other fun activities to start the school year. On the first day of school, the CTPO is hosting a Choir Ice Cream Social after school in the gazebo outside of the orchestra room. All are welcome, so bring a friend.
In other news, all choir members will receive a GBN Choir T-shirt, compliments of the CTPO.
Stay tuned for more information about upcoming events, Ladies First auditions, and other choir info. Can’t wait to see you all soon!
Due to the impending thunderstorm that is supposed to begin early this afternoon, we are moving the Concert in the Park to the GBN Field House. Students should arrive at 12:00 and the concert will begin at 12:30. Please bring chairs or blankets to sit on. See you there!

As most of you know, Mr. Wallace and I are both avid runners (Mr. Wallace has blogged about this in the past…take a look). This year, I am combining my passion for running with another passion of mine – Children’s Memorial Hospital. My son, Jack, was a patient there for several weeks shortly after birth. As a result of our experience there, I am committed to helping Children’s continue to provide the life-saving medical care that Jack received. So, I am running the 2011 Chicago Marathon as a member of the Children’s Memorial Hospital Marathon Team. If you’d like more information, please feel free to visit my website at:
