Course Descriptions
Beginning Level

Treble Choir
This introductory choral ensemble fosters and promotes the enjoyment of singing.  Students singing in the soprano and alto registers will develop their vocal abilities through appropriate choral literature.  Students will explore and develop their vocal usage and an understanding of music fundamentals.  Music sung ranges from pop to classical.  Treble Choir is recommended for students who plan to continue in choral groups.
Prerequisite: NONE

Spartan Choir
This introductory choral ensemble fosters and promotes the enjoyment of singing.  Students singing in the bass or tenor registers will develop their vocal abilities through appropriate choral literature.  Students will explore and develop their vocal usage and an understanding of music fundamentals.  Music sung ranges from pop to classical.  Spartan Boys is recommended for students who plan to continue in choral groups.
Prerequisite: NONE

Varsity Choir
This introductory choral ensemble fosters and promotes the enjoyment of singing.  Students will develop their vocal abilities through appropriate choral literature.  Students will explore and develop their vocal usage and an understanding of music fundamentals.  Music sung ranges from pop to classical. Varsity is recommended for students who plan to continue in choral groups.
Prerequisite: Demonstration of musical competency (to be determined by instructor) and the musical balance needs of the ensemble.

Advanced Level

Cecilian Singers
In Cecilian Singers, students singing in the treble ranges will continue to develop an advanced level of vocal production, sight reading, music theory, and other music fundamentals.  This course will explore a wide range of choral literature including pop and classical.
Prerequisite: Demonstration of musical competency (to be determined by instructor) and the musical balance needs of the ensemble.

Chorale
In Chorale, students will continue to develop an advanced level of vocal production, sight reading, music theory and other music fundamentals.  This course will explore a wide range of choral literature including pop and classical.
Prerequisite: Demonstration of musical competency (to be determined by instructor) and the musical balance needs of the ensemble.
